  • Opportunity at a Glance

    This position works under moderate supervision in performing a variety of tasks to support the Facilities/Operations Department including assembling furniture, hanging pictures, replacing light bulbs, moving departments in the building, and assisting with other projects and tasks.

    Distributes incoming mail and packages to students and staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Assembles furniture according to instructions and ensures that the task is completed in a timely manner; refers problems or complications to the Supervisor.
    • Performs minor repair/replacement work including hanging pictures and replacing light bulbs.
    • Coordinates department moving which includes moving / set up of all furniture and other items from the old office space to the new office space in the building.
    • Operates a pallet jack and restacks pallets on shelves; follows all safety procedures when using a pallet jack.
    • Assists in shipping and receiving materials for the company.
    • Assists in ordering, organizing stock room and delivering office supplies to staff.
    • Assists in working with company FedEX account to prepare shipments.
    • Assists in managing local storage rental spaces.
    • Operates copy machines and other office equipment.
    • Assists in sorting, delivering and picking up mail and packages.
    • Is a team player in the department and assists other Facilities/Operations employees as needed.
    • Assists with special projects as directed by the Supervisor and performs other tasks as assigned.
    • Will be requested to work between buildings at times.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • 1-2 years previous experience in a Facilities or Warehouse position.
    • Ability to lift at least 70 pounds.
