    Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) is seeking a Hospital Relations Liaison. This position is based at our Miramar, FL is the primary liaison to our affiliated hospitals. . It has the responsibility for communicating changes in policies/procedures, rotations, or contact information to and from our hospital partners.



    • Update RUSM affiliated hospitals on any changes at Ross University School of Medicine with regard to the hiring of new staff and the implementation of new policies or procedures. Conducts high level of communication with hospital administrators in person, writing and phone. Responsible for communicating key information from our hospital affiliates to both the academic and operational stakeholders.
    • Maintains a database of clinical clerkships and affiliated hospital lists both current and potential rotations for clinical students. Develops and keeps current a cross-reference data base for non-affiliated hospitals which are crucial for 4th year elective rotations.
    • Responsible for setting up all clinical chair site visits and being the point of contact for these visits. Additionally, set-up any academic, operational or student satisfaction site visits for RUSM Administration. Maintains a listing of visits and inform relevant stakeholders when issues arise.
    • Works with the Office of Academic Analytics to prepare and package reporting information for RUSM Clinical Chairs and Clerkship Directors for site visits.
    • Ensure RUSM Chairs and Clerkship directors are kept informed in regards to new clinical sites and student issues at clinical sites.
    • Escalation point for the Office of Clinical Clerkships in regards to scheduling with hospitals.
    • Works closely with the Assistant Dean of Clinical Sciences on any operational issues that need to be resolved.
    • Completes other projects and duties as assigned by the Associate Dean, Academic & Student Operations and Assistant Director, Hospital Support Services and Partnerships

    • Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience in either medical education or a heavy volume customer service field is desired. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Candidate must be available to meet domestic and international travel requirements; weekend work required. Candidate should be able to travel 25% - 40%.
    • Familiarity with NBME, ECFMG/USMLE guidelines and other pertinent policies and procedures necessary for licensure of international medical graduates (IMGs) desirable.
    • Candidates must possess hands-on and versatile leadership qualities and the ability to manage change in a fast paced environment.
    • Candidates should possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills and demonstrate the ability to foster collaboration across diverse groups of constituents, including students, faculty, management, system developers, and other staff.
    • Candidates must have strong analytical project management and organizational skills around business process improvements, change management and systems improvement, and the performance of database queries/searches to produce reports and analyses.
    • Some familiarity with webpage development, HTML, and content management highly desirable.
