  • Opportunity at a Glance

    The Financial Analyst will play a key support role in the financial management, growth, and strategy development of Ross University School of Medicine.  The individual will directly support the Senior Financial Analyst and will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function as well as month-end results and financial reporting. 


    Responsible for supporting the overall finance function and performing a variety of tasks to determine the current and forecasted financial health of the company

    • Manage processes, development and execution of Monthly Actual Results and accounts payable including maintenance of approval workflows
    • Lead analysis of past trends and future demand; proposes strategic direction, provides thought leadership and engages senior leadership and other influencers as needed
    • Support month-end process to investigate key variances and provide variance explanations
    • Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents
    • Work closely and ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables with department expense owners
    • Work with cross-functional and cross-institution project teams to solve business problems
    • Completes other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required
    • 1-2 years of Financial Planning & Analysis or accounting experience
    • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Ability to synthesize and clearly articulate information
    • Sense of urgency at all times and professional can do attitude
    • Attention to detail that leads to efficiency and accuracy
    • Ability to lead projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision
    • Experience using TM1 or Hyperion Planning and accounting systems
