The Institute of Research and Clinical Strategy and the Center for Excellence in Simulation Education invites applicants for Fellow position.


This is a temporary position offered on a 6 month basis and subject to satisfactory performance. Employment may be extended for an additional 6 months based on program needs, fellow availability and satisfactory performance. Our mission is to prepare highly dedicated students to become effective, successful physicians in the United States.


This newly created position is designed for Ross University School of Medicine graduates awaiting residency placement who wish to extend their clinical medicine teaching and educational scholarship portfolio. The Fellow will have an opportunity to engage in bench research or clinical simulation or educational research projects such as USMLE Clinical Skills 2 Exam prep through Becker Professional Education or gaming and technology enhanced education projects based on interest and any prior experience.



Location: Los Angeles, CA


  • Assist Institute and Center faculty and staff in activities as assigned. Medical and Clinical Science research opportunities include supervised experiences in all the disciplines including anatomy, molecular & cellular biology, physiology, microbiology/immunology, pathology; clinical simulation and clinical skills; CS2 exam prep, gaming, assessment, basic science and clinical content development for integration into teaching technologies.
  • Depending on interests the Fellow will be assigned a faculty mentor and will conduct a scholarly project under their supervision. It is expected that they will prepare presentations related to their project suitable for an abstract or oral presentation at a recognized medical meeting and that they will serve as an additional teaching resource in the location where they are assigned.
  • Candidates are expected to be available Monday through Sunday as needed, evenings included. Candidates are required to attend training sessions and to become skilled in one of the focus areas as needed. It is expected that they will progress in their ability to work with increasingly less supervision.


  • Must have an M.D. degree and completed all rotations.
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the US as we cannot support any type of work Visas
  • Must be a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM).
  • Satisfactory or better grades in all subsequent activities undertaken as an RUSM student, including satisfactory or better performance on NBME qualifying exams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong teaching skills and experience or evidence of potential.
  • Desire for self-improvement
  • Flexibility and ability to work well on a team.
  • Confident, self-starter with outstanding ability to role-model professional skills and attitudes.
