The Chief Operating Officer for Ross University of Medicine (RUSM) will be a seasoned, capable, and inspiring leader who is passionate about the institution's mission, tightly and wisely manages the operations, and contributes to University growth while maintaining the highest student, staff, and faculty services. The COO will be a highly skilled people leader, who develops a team that embodies the values and culture essential to our student's success, high faculty performance, stronger academic and financial results, and ensures the long term success of RUSM.
The COO will partner closely with RUSM’s Dean & Chancellor, Dr. William F. Owen, Jr., MD, FACP, to whom managerial accountability will occur. The COO will lead the achievement of the RUSM operating plan, ensure all operational functions are well-executed, and share responsibilities beneficial to students’ academic success and satisfaction with the deans of clinical and basic science programs. The COO will provide leadership to achieve excellence in strategic execution and management through the establishment and support of robust operating systems and processes that allow for individual accountability while maintaining fiscal health. The COO will also develop and/or maintain operational systems that are necessary for the success of faculty to deliver a high-quality program of medical instruction to students, especially on the Barbados and Miramar campuses. Partnering with other operational leaders across Adtalem, the COO will build, share and leverage best operational and business practices to identify new efficiencies. The COO will work to continuously innovate and improve processes of student recruitment and enrollment, instructional and learning environments, clinical affiliations and student experiences, and operational and student service functions across students’ medical school experience and learning locales. Collaborative and effective interactions with colleagues, faculty, students, external partners, students and other stakeholders are expected.
The COO will also work closely and collaboratively with the Chief Academic Officer (CAO), Dr. James Record. With clearly distinguishable roles, responsibilities, and oversight especially in faculty affairs, the CAO will be responsible for the faculty’s academic performance and success against their requirements for scholarly activities, like curricular and course design, classroom instruction, learning assessment, and student counseling and experience; faculty staffing; professional career development, and choice and use of instructional technologies. By contrast, the COO will be responsible for enabling and maintaining critical back office functions for faculty success, like overseeing their physical teaching and learning environments and managing supply chains.

Ross University Simulation Center provides students with simulation experience to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills during hospital clerkship rotations with sites in Far Rockaway, NY; Pontiac, MI; Los Angeles, CA and Miramar, FL. The Simulation Center (Miramar Campus), students learn to apply their medical knowledge and competencies through interactive simulation and standardized patient care component. Located in South Florida, we run simulation related activities for approximately 900 third-year medical students each year.
We are currently seeking for per diem simulation teaching specialist applicants in the Miramar Florida Area. IDEAL CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN THE MIAMI-DADE/BROWARD COUNTIES AREA, NO RELOCATION PACKAGE OFFERED. The Assistant Chair of Psychiatry reports to the Clinical Chair of Psychiatry and oversees the integrity of the clerkship curriculum and the clinical faculty in affiliated hospitals throughout the United States within the clinical specialty. The Assistant Chair will ensure excellence, comparability and consistency in the instruction of the discipline at the affiliated institutions. Hired on a part time basis of up to 0.5 FTE, the Assistant Chair applies rigorous academic standards in the conduct and assessment of the core rotations. The Assistant Chair is responsible for ensuring that the student experience is uniform in the objectives and interactions encountered in the patient care setting.

Territory – From a mid-Atlantic base, responsible for New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia. Applicants must currently live in one of these previously mentioned states.
Under supervision of the Sr. Associate Director of Admissions, the Associate Director of Admissions (ADA) assists in the management of student recruitment strategies for Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) in an assigned territory by developing and executing a territory management plan. Responsible for identifying and following up with prospective students through the application and enrollment processes.

The Licensing and Credentialing Analyst (LCA) works with RUSM students to ensure all of their licensure and credentialing questions are answered and by performing licensure functions in compliance with state or provincial regulations. The LCA requests and analyzes data for current and future license applications ensures that submission deadlines are met. The LCA provides support to RUSM students by working with state medical boards.

Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) invites applications for the Associate Dean, Academic Learning Environment (ADALE), who will report to the RUSM Chief Academic Officer (CAO) and provide leadership for the RUSM academic learning environment, anticipating and responsive to the needs of our faculty and students. This position oversees the Academy for Teaching and Learning (ATL), which is dedicated to the development and support of our community of scholars with a mission to foster a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. ATL provides mentorship, skills development and educational support to enhance our scholars’ life-long pursuit of learning and discovery. Direct reports to the ADALE include the Director for ATL, Assistant Dean for Faculty Development, and Assistant Dean of Educational Scholarship and Innovation.
The ADALE will provide appropriate oversight and evaluation of our range of programs for faculty development, student development, academic scholarship and educational innovation. Examples of current programs include faculty academic coaching workshops, faculty certification courses, student Essential Life-long Learning Skills (ELLS), student Academic Success Program (ASP), the Peer Tutor Program (PTP), Communication for Medical Practice (CMP), and our combined student and faculty learning communities.
Working with RUSM academic leadership team, the ADALE will develop an annual budget and allocate required resources to ensure the high quality and accessibility of programs and other offerings. The role will be based in Miramar, Florida and will articulate closely with our academic environment in our Barbados campus as well as across our U.S. clinical sites.

In partnership with the MHC Vertical Vice President of Finance and Strategy and the Dean of Ross University School of Medicine, the Senior Director of Finance is responsible for providing leadership, planning and management for maximizing financial performance at Ross University School of Medicine. The position develops the annual budget, creates rolling forecasts, prepares financial reports, analyzes results, develops financial models and works in cooperation with campus, program, and home office leaders to identify operational efficiencies and revenue-generating opportunities.

This role reports to the Director of Engagement and has primary responsibility in four main areas:
- Design, implement and evaluate campus-wide programming, out of classroom activities and experiences, and direct supervision of the Campus Life/SGA Office, Campus Life Programming Spaces, and Campus Life staff;
- Co-Advisor to Student Government Association (SGA): Provides regular assistance and oversight to SGA and all student groups (averaging 50+ a semester) in the implementations of their tasks, responsibilities and programs;
- Social media and Web content manager for Campus Life and SGA, ensuring all pages have current information, resources, pictures, etc. and developing innovative resources to support communication and development of RUSM Medical Science Students.
The Student Development Specialist, Campus Life works in partnership with SGA and with all areas of Student Affairs to create and implement programs and opportunities that enrich students’ overall educational experience and contribute to their personal and professional development.
- Oversight of New Student Arrival, Orientation, and Welcome Week. This includes supervision of welcome leaders and student ambassadors to assist with the transition of new students to RUSM and Barbados.

The Maintenance Coordinator performs a variety of duties within the Facilities and Operations Department and is responsible for receiving work orders from students relating to maintenance issues at Coverley Housing and channeling to the relevant personnel for corrective action; provides feedback mechanism to students, landlord and Campus Operations Administrator and monitors progress on work orders. Duties are varied and are carried out with a high level of customer service, confidentiality and independent judgment for optimal student satisfaction.
